MEETING

Trevor Walsh

Art has always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From getting in trouble for drawing dinosaurs and space (and space dinosaurs) under my desk in class when I should have been listening….but no regrets!

I trained in computer animation in Ballyfermot after leaving secondary school and worked in the computer games industry (PS1 era) and then in digital visualisation. I created some designs that were inspired by the Irish sport ‘hurling’. This game has been a part of my life since I was old enough to walk and also a massive part of my family and also my community.

I have used a mixture of mediums and sketching with pencil and ink is always fun. I would then scan the finished sketch and colour it using Photoshop. I am now using Copic markers to add colour as I love that sketchy/concept style and I am also not using an iPad Pro and with a combination of Procreate and Affinity Photo and Designer. I touch up finished sketches digitally or create everything digitally.
