I’m Niamh Eldridge-Barry, a 25 year old artist from from Co.Kildare. Ever since I can remember I’ve always loved art. Art has helped me throughout my challenges of my life. I live in the country side, and am surrounded by animals and nature that have inspired my creativity. My favourite mediums to work with are oils and acrylic paint. I also love experimenting new mediums. For the last couple of years I have being going to art classes and I did a PLC in Art, Craft and Design. Following on from that, I applied for an art college. I was unsuccessful and it knocked my confidence a little bit.
Subsequently I found a small art school that I attend one day a week and have been finding my love of painting going there. This year I saw an opportunity to apply for an a program run by the Connection Arts Centre. I was successful and became part of Connecting Artists. This has grown my confidence, allowed to me meet, learn from and work with other artists from around Ireland and exhibit my art work.
