Mario Sanchez
My name is Mario and I am a Spanish artist living in Cork. I have been painting in oils for 2 years and specialize in portraits. Painting the people I love is what makes me happiest, a way to show them gratitude. The painting process I enjoy most is testing the colors directly on the canvas and correcting with loose brush strokes, one on top of the other, without letting the canvas dry, creating a messy but colorful style.
I still consider myself an amateur artist, so every well-placed brushstroke or every color I choose is a triumph that makes me work with constant motivation.
