Grace O’Brien

Hi my name is Grace O’Brien, a Limerick based Artist.
I have always painted, crafted, created since as far back as I remember, it was encouraged at home.

Three years ago, I rediscovered my passion for artistic expression and delved into learning a wide variety of watercolour techniques and tackling its challenges. It became my time for myself in a busy home with three children.

Since then, I joined ArtLimerick last year, exhibited at St Michaels Rowing Club Art Auction, the People’s museum Limerick and ABC for mental health 2022 exhibition.

I Participate in local Artfairs and , help organise a Popup gallery project running each weekend in Nicholas Street Limerick.
I love learning new techniques and crafts as ways of expressing my creativity, these sometimes involve needlefelt, resin art jewellery and embroidery.

I continue to enjoy painting a variety of subjects in watercolour and have been experimenting more with acrylic colour and lately oil techniques on canvas.

If I could tell my younger self anything, it would probably be “go with what you love, don’t wait”. Creative expression is part of who I am.
