MEETING
Amalia
I’m Amalia, an illustrator and designer from Dublin, Ireland. On my account you will find a mix of art in different mediums- painting, drawing, collage – and I have a separate plein air account too! @amalia.pleinair 🌱 At the moment I am mostly working on portraits using colour pencil.
Although I was born and raised in Ireland, I’m also half Salvadoran, which has encouraged my love of colour and vibrancy. It’s also prompted my interest in indigenous art and culture, especially the role of art in our connection to nature.
“Metzonalli”, my first (kind of) self portrait, is about unearthing my family’s indigenous American heritage.
On the side, I work as a freelance social media content creator and short form video editor.
