MEETING
Shauna
Hi my name is Shauna, I am an artist studying in Crawford College of Art and Design.
My work looks at the history of women being accused of witchcraft. It aims to remember those women for their powerful knowledge and courage.
Many feared women’s knowledge and sought to gain control over them. We should not fear those who were viciously and wrongfully murdered.
I want to reclaim the word ‘Witch’ in a positive light and remember the old ways of healing with herbs and remedies, most importantly reconnect to nature.
I want to remind everyone that it is important we have knowledge by educating ourselves, know our rights and have our voices heard.
