Jordain Molloy Gillen
Hi there ! I’m Jordain Molloy Gillen, a local queer, Irish artist and designer based in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. I was born with a love of all things creative, which was inspired and nurtured by my grandparents. I specialise primarily in multidisciplinary fine arts and fashion.
I graduated from the University of Ulster in 2017 with a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art, Sculpture and Lens. I’ve worked in various different creative sectors including costume for TV & Film, events dressing for public events, curating and project management. My work is inspired by nature, spiritualism, storytelling, folklore and all things spooky.
Creating work which tells a story is very important to me as I want to create work that will engage and inspire others to feel good about themselves. I have a dreamlike vision in which I like to work with, using processes that incorporate colour and illusionistic qualities, offering something you can only imagine from a dream.
