MEETING
Jenny Belton
Hi my name is Jenny. I have been painting all my life but have only begun to build a consolidated and consistent body of work in the last year.
I find I am drawn to methods of expression that are repetitive and meditative as a means to get into a state of flow.
My biggest inspirations are interior architecture and design, ceramics and the weather (of course being Irish).
Currently the work I am doing is attempting to deconstruct and reconstruct the still life as an expression and capture the essence of places I have been through memory and imagination. I like to see these paintings as elaborate postcards.
