A renowned figure in Irish culture, Father Jack Hackett was played by Irish actor Frank Kelly.

Frank was born and raised in Blackrock, Co Dublin where this artwork was erected and he went to school there for many years.
This piece looks to act as a tribute to the late Frank Kelly and pay homage to his timeless character portrayal of Father Jack Hackett.

The chaotic colours and shapes also looked to compliment the character of Father Jack who was both colourful and chaotic by nature.

Nothing makes me happier to paint something in my locality.
