Faye Cummins
I’m Faye, twenty three years old and currently working from my home studio in Kildare.
For me, painting is my way of expressing myself. It always feels freeing and exciting to be able to put what I’m thinking and feeling in an image. After years feeling like my voice and opinion didn’t matter, painting has been able to make me feel like I can say everything I mean without even speaking. Whether it be about my own memories, politics, feminism, my friends or family, even my favorite colour.
Art gives me so much joy and I’m thrilled I’ve been able to pursue it wholeheartedly. I love texture, colour, wild images and whatever my brain decides it wants to come up with next.”
